BBQ pits in six NParks parks are booked through AXS, at a kiosk, online or in the AXS app. A pit costs S$12 to S$20 for the day and can be used from 12pm to 10.30pm on the date you book. Camping at East Coast Park, Pasir Ris Park, West Coast Park and Pulau Ubin needs a permit, also through AXS, and is open to applicants aged 16 and over with a Singapore address.

Where can I book a BBQ pit?
At Changi Beach Park, East Coast Park, Labrador Nature Reserve, Pasir Ris Park, Sembawang Park and West Coast Park. Sembawang Park also has electric pits, switched on with a PIN, so you don’t need charcoal.
How do I book one?
- Use the NParks BBQ pit module on an AXS kiosk, AXS e-Station online or the AXS m-Station app.
- Choose the park and the exact pit you want.
- Pay within 15 minutes of choosing the pit, or you lose it.
- One pit per NRIC at a time; you can book another once the current booking has expired.
Permits can’t be transferred, and the person who booked is responsible for the pit while the permit is valid. The shelter beside the pit isn’t part of the booking; it stays open to everyone in the park.
Can we drink at the pit?
The permit holder and guests don’t need a separate liquor consumption permit while the BBQ permit is valid. Remember the permit ends at 10.30pm, and after that the island-wide ban on drinking in public places applies.
Where can I camp?
Only in designated camping areas: at East Coast Park, Pasir Ris Park and West Coast Park, and at the Jelutong, Mamam and Endut Senin campsites on Pulau Ubin. Lazarus Island and Pulau Hantu also have designated camping areas. Your permit tells you which area you’ve booked; don’t pitch outside it.
How do I get a camping permit?
Apply through AXS, on the same kiosk, website or app as BBQ pits. You need a permit for every night, weekdays, weekends and holidays alike. The applicant must be 16 or older, have a valid Singapore residential address, and hold no other current camping permit. The limit is four camping days a month. Print the receipt and display it at your tent. The permit runs from 9am on the booked day to 9am the next morning.

Can I book a pit for a friend?
You can book it, but you can’t transfer it; the booker is responsible for the pit.
