Season parking is sold by calendar month, and HDB residents get first priority for lots near their homes. Family Season Parking, for parking near a relative’s HDB flat, costs half the resident rate: S$40 surface or S$55 sheltered.
When does season parking pay?
Almost always, if you park at home every day. Twelve hours a day of short-term parking outside the central area comes to S$14.40, or about S$432 a month, against S$80 for a surface season pass.

If the car sleeps at home, buy season parking; it pays for itself in about a week. Count parking alongside road tax and petrol when you work out what the car really costs each month.

Why do I pay more for my second car?
The lower rate covers only each household’s first car; second and later cars pay the Tier 2 rate.
Do URA car parks follow the same rules?
Largely. The residential season rate for the first car at URA surface car parks is also S$80, and second cars pay commercial rates.
