Singapore passport holders can enter Cambodia without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism or business, under Cambodia’s visa exemption for ASEAN neighbours. If you are flying in, you also need the Cambodia e-Arrival card, a free online form that rolls the old paper arrival, customs and health cards into one. Submit it at arrival.gov.kh or the official app within seven days before you land, and keep the QR code for immigration. It covers the international airports serving Phnom Penh (now Techo International Airport), Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. Arriving overland? Be ready for paper forms at the border, as the online card is built around air arrivals.
Angkor Wat at sunrise is worth the early alarm. The paperwork, happily, takes ten minutes.
Quick facts
- Visa: not needed for Singaporeans for stays of up to 30 days.
- e-Arrival card: required for air arrivals, free of charge.
- Window: submit within seven days before arrival.
- Where: arrival.gov.kh or the official Cambodia e-Arrival app.
- Phnom Penh flights: now use Techo International Airport, which opened on 9 September 2025.
- Passport: carry one with at least six months’ validity left, which airlines commonly check.
How long can a Singaporean stay?
Cambodia exempts Singapore ordinary passport holders from visas for stays of up to 30 days. That covers a holiday, a temple circuit or a short business trip. Working, studying or staying longer needs a proper visa arranged through Cambodia’s immigration authorities, not the visa exemption.
| Your trip | Visa | e-Arrival card |
|---|---|---|
| Fly into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, up to 30 days | Not needed | Required, free, within 7 days before arrival |
| Cross by land from Thailand, Vietnam or Laos | Not needed for up to 30 days | Expect a paper arrival form at the checkpoint |
| Stay longer than 30 days, or work | Arrange the correct visa | Still required if flying in |
The e-Arrival card, step by step
- Wait until you are within seven days of your flight landing in Cambodia.
- Open arrival.gov.kh (type the address yourself) or download the official Cambodia e-Arrival app.
- Enter passport details, flight number, arrival date and the address where you will stay.
- Answer the customs and health questions.
- Submit. A confirmation with a QR code arrives by email; screenshot it as well.
- Show the QR code at immigration on arrival. Travelling as a family? Follow the form’s own instructions for children and companions.
The official form costs nothing. Sites that charge a “processing fee” for the e-Arrival card are private services or scams; you do not need them.
A worked example
Daniel and his partner are flying Singapore to Siem Reap on Thursday 10 December 2026, returning on Monday 14 December.
- Visa: a five-day trip, well within 30 days, so none needed.
- e-Arrival: the window opens on Thursday 3 December. They each submit one on the weekend before and save both QR codes.
- Cost: nothing for the forms. Their real spending goes on the Angkor temple pass, bought separately through the official Angkor Enterprise channels.
- Passport: both have well over six months left, so airline check-in is smooth.
Which airport, and what changed
Two airport changes trip up returning visitors. In Phnom Penh, Techo International Airport took over commercial flights from the old Phnom Penh International Airport when it opened on 9 September 2025, and it sits further from the city centre, so allow more time for the ride in. In Siem Reap, flights use Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport, which is well outside town, so pre-arrange a transfer or check the airport’s own transport options.
| City | Airport in use | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Phnom Penh | Techo International Airport | Allow extra time to reach the city |
| Siem Reap | Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport | Book a transfer before you land |
| Sihanoukville | Sihanouk International Airport | Check flight schedules, which are thinner |
The WahLiao Verdict
Cambodia asks very little of Singaporeans: no visa for a month and one free online card if you fly. Do the e-Arrival form on the official site a few days before departure, keep the QR code offline, and ignore anyone offering to file it for a fee. Spend the time you saved planning your temple days instead.
Questions people ask
Is the e-Arrival card a visa?
No. It is an arrival declaration. Singaporeans need no visa for up to 30 days, but still complete the card when flying in.
How early can I submit it?
Within seven days before your arrival. Earlier than that, the system will not accept it.
Does it cost anything?
No. The official e-Arrival card is free. Paying a website means you have found an agent, not the government.
What if I enter by bus from Vietnam or Thailand?
The visa exemption still applies, but expect paper forms at the land checkpoint. Rules at land borders change, so check the latest from Cambodia’s immigration department before you go.
