Home fibre broadband in Singapore now starts under S$30 a month, and even plans with 3Gbps to 10Gbps speeds can cost that little. Most plans run on 24-month contracts. The monthly price you see is often a promotional rate well below the usual price. There may be an upfront activation fee of about S$61, and cheaper “no-frills” plans often come without a router. Compare the total cost over the whole contract, not the monthly figure.

What does the headline price leave out?
- The usual price. Promotional rates can be far below the normal one. One 10Gbps plan in 2026 was advertised at S$38.90 a month against a usual price of S$121.01.
- Upfront fees. Some plans charge a S$61.04 fee for activating the fibre line; others waive it as a promotion.
- The router. No-frills plans leave you to supply your own; others include one, sometimes a Wi-Fi 7 model.
- The contract. Leaving a 24-month plan early usually costs a termination charge; check the terms.
How should I compare plans?
Work out the minimum total cost: monthly fee × contract months, plus any upfront fees, plus the cost of a router if you need one. A plan at S$26 a month for 24 months with no upfront fees costs S$624 in total. A plan at S$38.90 a month with a S$61.04 upfront fee costs S$994.64.
How fast do I need?
The fibre speed is shared across every device in the home, and Wi-Fi rarely delivers the full headline speed to one phone or laptop. Before paying more for a faster plan, check whether your router and devices can use the extra speed.
