Singapore Art Week is about ten days of exhibitions, installations, light shows, talks and tours in late January, with more than 100 events across the city. At its centre is ART SG, one of Southeast Asia’s leading contemporary art fairs. Its fifth edition runs from 22 to 24 January 2027 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. The fair is ticketed, but much of the rest of the week is free, including the Civic District’s Light to Night festival.

What is ART SG?
A contemporary art fair, launched in 2023, that brings together international and regional galleries alongside installations, film, talks and performances. Since 2026 it has been co-presented with S.E.A. Focus, a curated platform for Southeast Asian contemporary art. The 2027 fair has a VIP preview and vernissage, by invitation, on Thursday 21 January, followed by open days on Friday 22 to Sunday 24 January.
What does it cost?
In 2026, tickets started at S$27, and children aged 16 and under entered free with a ticket-holding adult. The fair opened from 12pm to 7pm on the Friday, 11am to 7pm on Saturday, and 11am to 6pm on Sunday. Check the fair’s website for 2027 prices and hours.
What’s free during Art Week?
Plenty. In 2026, the week included more than 100 events by museums, galleries and artists, from exhibitions to mural trails. Light to Night, organised by National Gallery Singapore with the Civic District’s cultural institutions, fills the area with light projections and installations. Auction house previews and many gallery exhibitions are free to walk into.
When is Singapore Art Week 2027?
The official dates haven’t been announced yet. The week runs around ART SG, so expect late January; in 2026, it ran from 22 to 31 January.
