Public Toilets in Singapore: Where to Find a Clean One (2026) | Visiting Singapore

By the WahLiao desk · Last updated 3 October 2026

The cleanest public toilets in Singapore are in shopping malls and MRT stations, and they are free. A 2024 Singapore Management University survey of 2,602 public toilets scored mall toilets highest, MRT stations a close second, hawker centres behind, and coffee shop toilets the least clean. A few hawker centre toilets charge a small fee. Carry a packet of tissues: not every toilet has paper.

In a city this hot, where you drink water all day, knowing where the good toilets are is real travel knowledge. The short answer: there is almost always a mall nearby.
