Since 16 September 2026, Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above who attend an eligible SkillsFuture AI course can redeem one free six-month subscription to a premium Super Intelligence (AI) tool. The choices are ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Manus AI, Microsoft 365 Personal and Singtel AI Pass. More than 200 courses qualify, and on MySkillsFuture they carry a “Free AI sub” label. Each person can redeem the subscription only once during the three-year programme, however many eligible courses they attend.
The scheme was announced in Budget 2026 to get people practising with AI rather than just reading about it, and it runs through SWDA, the agency formed from SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore. The subscription is free; the course may not be, although subsidies and SkillsFuture Credit often cover much of the fee.

Who is eligible
You must be a Singapore Citizen aged 18 or above and attend an eligible AI course. When the Manpower Minister first described the scheme in March, it was to be open from age 25; at launch in September it opened to citizens from 18. MySkillsFuture’s rule is that the course must end on or after 16 September 2026; courses that finished before then do not qualify.
How to find an eligible course
On MySkillsFuture, look for courses labelled “Free AI sub”. Polytechnics, universities’ continuing-education arms and private providers all run them, from short introductions to specialist diplomas. Nanyang Polytechnic, for example, lists 14 eligible courses, and Republic Polytechnic and SMU Academy run eligible programmes too. Choose on content: what you will learn, how long it takes, and how it fits your work.
How to claim the subscription
After you attend the eligible course, you receive an email with redemption details and a request form. On the form you choose your preferred tool from the five on offer. Once your eligibility is verified, you receive one six-month subscription from the approved provider. Course providers say the tool you pick does not have to match the one used in class.
You have 60 days from the date of the notification email to submit the form, so there is no need to decide on the day. Choose carefully: you cannot change the tool once the form is submitted.

Paying for the course
The free subscription does not pay the course fee. Many eligible courses carry SkillsFuture course subsidies, and your SkillsFuture Credit can pay the balance on approved courses. Getting the most from six months
Start using the tool in the same week as the course, on real work rather than practice exercises. Keep a note of three tasks it now does well for you, and three where it let you down.
