Jewel Changi Airport is open 24 hours, and its two headline sights are free. The Rain Vortex, the indoor waterfall at the heart of the dome, runs 10am to 10pm daily, with a free light and music show at 8pm and 9pm from Monday to Thursday, plus 10pm from Friday to Sunday, public holidays and their eves. The Forest Valley garden trails around it are open 24 hours. What you pay for is up on Level 5: the Canopy Park costs $6 for Singapore residents and $8 standard as of October 2026, and the extra attractions, from the Hedge Maze to the Bouncing Net, are sold mainly as bundles from $39 for an adult. Most shops open 10am to 10pm.

Whether you are meeting a flight or making a day of it, Jewel rewards a little planning. Here is what costs what, and when to go.

Quick facts

  • Jewel: open 24 hours; most shops 10am to 10pm.
  • Rain Vortex: free, 10am to 10pm daily.
  • Light and music show: 8pm and 9pm Monday to Thursday; 8pm, 9pm and 10pm Friday to Sunday, public holidays and eves.

  • Canopy Park: $6 resident, $8 standard; children are aged 3 to 12 and seniors 60 and above.
  • Canopy Park hours: 10am to 9pm Monday to Thursday; 10am to 10pm Friday to Sunday, eves and public holidays; last admission 30 minutes before closing.

What’s free at Jewel?

Quite a lot. You can walk in from the airport terminals or the MRT, watch the Rain Vortex pour from the roof, stroll the Forest Valley’s terraced trails (Jewel suggests allowing about half an hour for each trail) and stay for the evening light show, all without a ticket. The Forest Valley has more than 900 trees and palms and around 60,000 shrubs, and entry points run from Level 1 to Level 4.

What do the paid attractions cost?

Canopy Park admission includes the Discovery Slides, Foggy Bowls, Petal Garden and Topiary Walk. The bigger thrills come in bundles. Prices below are Jewel’s published rates as of October 2026; members of CapitaStar and Changi Rewards pay $5.40 for Canopy Park admission.

TicketWhat’s includedAdultChild
Canopy ParkDiscovery Slides, Foggy Bowls, Petal Garden, Topiary Walk$8 standard; $6 resident$8 standard; $6 resident
Bundle Deal 1Canopy Park, Mastercard Canopy Bridge, Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Walking Net$39$29
Bundle Deal 2Bundle 1 plus a 45-minute Bouncing Net session$54$39
Bundle Deal 3Bundle 1 plus Changi Experience Studio$56$40
Bundle Deal 4Bundle 2 plus Changi Experience Studio$71$50

Worked example: a resident family of two adults and a child of eight pays 3 × $6 = $18 for the Canopy Park. A visiting family of two adults and one child on Bundle Deal 1 pays $39 + $39 + $29 = $107. Some attractions have height or age rules, so check each one before you buy.

How do you get there?

  1. By MRT: ride to Changi Airport station (CG2), then use the Level 2 link bridges from Terminals 2 and 3.
  2. From Terminal 1: Jewel connects directly to the Arrival Hall on Level 1.
  3. From Terminals 2 and 3: a 5 to 10-minute walk over the link bridges.
  4. From Terminal 4: a free direct shuttle bus runs 6am to midnight daily, with a loop service from 1am to 6am.
  5. By car: Jewel’s car park charges by 15-minute block; check the current rates on Jewel’s site.

When is the best time to go?

Weekday mornings, soon after the Rain Vortex starts at 10am, are calm and bright. Evenings are the most magical, because the light and music show turns the waterfall into a screen; arrive 15 minutes early to get a spot on Level 1 near the base, or look down from the higher levels. School holidays and weekends are busiest. Our guide to school holidays in 2027 helps you dodge the peak days.

The WahLiao Verdict

You can have a lovely evening at Jewel for nothing: walk the Forest Valley, then catch the 8pm or 9pm light show. Pay only if you have energetic children or a free afternoon; for residents, the $6 Canopy Park is a cheerful hour, while the bundles make sense only if you will use most of what is in them. Check Jewel’s advisories before you go, as private events can affect access to parts of the Forest Valley.
