You can go from occasional user to confident, everyday user of Super Intelligence, the kind of AI behind ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, in about 90 days, at 20 to 30 minutes a day. The path below has three four-week levels: build a daily habit, then run real projects with documents, voice and images, then design repeatable workflows and teach others. It costs nothing on free plans. If you want structure, AI Singapore’s AI for Everyone is free and takes about 90 minutes, polytechnic and university short courses run from about S$76 to S$327 after SkillsFuture funding, and citizens aged 18 and above who finish an eligible SkillsFuture AI course from 16 September 2026 can claim six months of a premium tool free.
The single most useful rule: practise on your own real work, every day, and check the result. Watching videos about Super Intelligence is not the same as getting better at using it. If you have not yet read our basics, start with Using Super Intelligence well; this page assumes you know how to ask and how to check.

How to learn it properly
Mastery here is a skill, not a body of facts, so learn it the way you would learn to drive or cook. Four habits do most of the work. Deliberate practice: each week has one specific skill to push on, not just “use it more”. Your own work: practise on the emails, reports, lesson plans or spreadsheets you actually have, with personal and confidential details removed. Retrieval: once a week, write your best prompts from memory before looking them up; what you can recall is what you will use. Reflection: keep a short log of what worked, what failed and what you checked.
Anthropic’s free AI Fluency course organises the same idea into four skills it calls the 4Ds: delegation (deciding what to hand over), description (explaining the task well), discernment (judging the output) and diligence (using it responsibly). They make a useful checklist for your weekly log.
Level 1, weeks 1 to 4: the daily habit
Pick one tool and stay with it for the month. Every day, hand it one real task from this list of ten: draft an email, summarise a long document, rewrite something in a different tone, translate and back-translate, explain an unfamiliar term, plan a week or a trip, brainstorm options, turn notes into a checklist, prepare questions before a meeting or appointment, and critique your own draft. The skill you are building is checking: for every task, write one line in your log on what you verified and how. By week 4 you should notice which tasks it does reliably and which it gets wrong.
Level 2, weeks 5 to 8: projects and the other tools
Now stop starting from a blank chat. ChatGPT’s Projects, available on every plan including Free, keep related chats, files and instructions together so the model uses the same context each time; Claude and Gemini offer comparable features, and Gemini calls its custom assistants Gems. Set up one project for a real ongoing piece of work, with standing instructions such as “British English, short paragraphs, flag anything you are unsure of”. Then spend a week each on documents and spreadsheets (upload a report and interrogate it; ask for a formula and test it on your own data), voice (talk through a problem while walking; practise a presentation), and image tools (a poster draft, a diagram, reading a photo of a sign or form). Before uploading anything, re-read our guide to what happens to what you type.
Level 3, weeks 9 to 12: workflows, agents, teaching
The last month is about repeatability. Pick three tasks you do every week and write each one down as a workflow: the input, the prompt, the check, the output. Try an agent-style tool, one that can browse, click and carry out steps for you, on a low-stakes errand, and watch what it does; our explainer on AI agents covers the risks. If you use spreadsheets or email rules, try one simple automation with Super Intelligence’s help. Build your personal prompt library, the ten to twenty prompts that earned their place, and in week 11 teach one of your workflows to a colleague or family member. Explaining it will show you the gaps.
The 90-day plan, week by week
| Week | Focus | By the end of the week |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | One tool, daily task | Seven logged tasks, one line each on what you checked |
| 2 | Context and follow-ups | Improved a reply three times instead of starting over |
| 3 | Summaries and translation | Caught at least one error by checking the source |
| 4 | Review | A list of what it does well and badly for you |
| 5 | Projects and standing instructions | One project set up for ongoing work |
| 6 | Documents and spreadsheets | One report analysed, one formula tested |
| 7 | Voice | One presentation or interview rehearsed aloud |
| 8 | Images | One visual made and one photo read accurately |
| 9 | Workflows | Three weekly tasks written as step-by-step workflows |
| 10 | Agents and automation | One low-stakes agent task, one simple automation |
| 11 | Teaching | Taught one workflow to someone else |
| 12 | Prompt library and review | Ten to twenty tested prompts saved; before-and-after comparison |
The skills ladder
| Level | What you can do | Typical point on the plan |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | Ask one-off questions; accept or reject the first answer | Day 1 |
| Capable | Give context, refine replies, check facts against sources, keep private data out | End of week 4 |
| Fluent | Run ongoing projects with files, voice and images; know which tool suits which job | End of week 8 |
| Expert | Design repeatable workflows, supervise agents, teach others, judge when not to use it | Week 12 and beyond |
How to measure your progress
Keep three simple measures. Time saved: for your three weekly workflows, note how long each took before and after, including checking time. Error catch rate: count the mistakes you found; if you are finding none, you are probably not checking hard enough. Redo test: in week 12, repeat a task from week 1 and compare the two results side by side. SWDA and the Singapore Institute of Technology also offer a free AI Ready quiz, about 12 questions and 15 minutes, that suggests courses based on your answers.
